Are you ready for some football? I know I am! Our local high school is just a mile down the road and on Friday nights we can see the stadium lights and hear the marching band. I love everything about it (except the traffic when the game lets out;-) If you’re planning a football party of any kind, check out these football party table decorating ideas. They each come with a tutorial.

Creative Party Ideas by Cheryl shows how to make a football snack dish. Just paint a terra cotta pot green and add white stripes for the “yard lines.” Or you could paint the pot one of the colors of your favorite team and line it with a napkin of the other color.

Abbey from The Cards We Drew painted a Mason jar with brown glass paint and added simple white lines for the football laces. What a great idea for holding the cutlery on your football-themed table.

Beth from Hungry Happenings made this football play diagram chalkboard out of chocolate! Yes, you read that right. The chalkboard is made from a chocolate bar and is totally edible.

Check out these football glasses from Flamingo Toes. There’s no painting involved. Just use white electrical tape for the football laces and fill the glass with something dark like root beer or cola.

I love these goal-post straws from She Knows. Sandra gives great instructions for bending and cutting the straws. They may look like a lot of work but they’re actually very simple to make.

You’ll need a place to set down your football glass. How about these adorable football coasters made out of burlap from Snap Creativity. It only takes a couple of minutes to cut, sew, and paint these great looking coasters.

Kami from No Biggie has lots of of great game day decorating ideas including these cone-shaped popcorn holders. There are no step-by-step instructions, but it’s pretty easy to see how they’re made just by looking at the photos.

I’ve referenced this blog post by Karin Lidbeck before when I wrote about Kraft Paper Table Covering Ideas. This football field table cover is simple and inexpensive to make. This blog is always chock full of great decorating ideas.

If you want to see more of your favorite football team’s colors on the table, why not start with a solid colored tablecloth and add a table runner down the center? I’m a Steelers fan, so I’d start with a black tablecloth and add a gold table runner. Or maybe I’d go with a gold tablecloth with a black runner. Bright Settings carries 72 colors in our popular basic polyester fabric. I’m sure you’ll be able to find your favorite football team’s colors! The best thing about polyester tablecloths is that they wash up great and will last for years. Yep, I’m ready for some football this weelend. Are you?
