Hi there Bright Ideas readers! I can’t tell you how excited I am to this simple DIY Easter place card tutorial today-it’s so easy but adorable and would compliment any Easter tablescape!

Supplies:

small craft baskets
satin ribbon
crimped basket filler
eggs, hard boiled
chalk ink pen
hot glue gun & glue

Wrap ribbon around the top edge of each basket, securing with hot glue and hiding seam in the back. My satin ribbon was 1″ wide so I folded it in half for a neater appearance on the basket rim.

Cut an additional 10 inch piece of ribbon and tie a bow, trimming the ends if necessary. Glue bow to the front center of the basket.

Fill the basket with crimped basket filler-you can find this in the floral area of many craft stores or with the Easter basket supplies seasonally.

Use a chalk ink pen, again easily found at most craft stores, to write each guest’s name on a hard boiled egg. I used a brown egg for contrast but you can use a colored permanent marker on a white egg or use dyed Easter eggs as well to change up the look of the place cards.

Add your egg to your basket and display on top of your place settings for the perfect touch to your Easter table! I paired the subtle neutral colors of my Easter Egg place card with a liquid repellant white tablecloth and faux burlap table runner-my favorite linens for the springtime!
