No bake cookies are a perfect food to prepare ahead of time when hosting a party—they are easy, fast, and oh-so-tasty! Today I’m sharing three recipe variations that are perfect for any occasion.

The key to making perfect no bake cookies is the timing. Have all of your ingredients pre-measured and standing by before you start cooking and begin timing one minute when the liquid is at a full boil, not simmering!

Basic No Bake Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
1 cup peanut butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups oatmeal
Waxed paper

Directions
In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, serve once cooled and hardened.

Nutella No Bake Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup Nutella
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups oatmeal
Waxed paper

(Optional: 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts)

Directions

In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add nutella, vanilla and oatmeal (and optional hazelnuts). On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, serve once cooled and hardened.

Healthy Gluten Free No Bake Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 cup agave nectar
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup almond butter
2 cups gluten-free oats
1/3 cup shredded coconut
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

In a saucepan, mix together agave and cocoa powder. Heat over medium heat until combined. Stir in almond milk and coconut oil and bring to a boil. Continue stirring and boil for one minute. Remove pan from heat and stir in almond butter, oats, coconut, vanilla extract, and salt. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, serve once cooled and hardened.
