Last week I wrote a blog about New Year’s Eve Party Printables for Adults. This week, it’s all about New Year’s Eve Party Printables for Kids. I’ve rounded-up 10 printables geared toward the younger crowd that will make party planning easy this New Year’s Eve. These activities and games are not only fun for the kids, but they’ll also give the hostess a few minutes to collect herself while the kids are playing quietly at the table. When I hosted my family’s Christmas party last week, I had the older kids help the little kids play Christmas Bingo while I got dinner on the table! (You can find several Christmas Kid’s Table Printables here. Many of them are suitable for parties any time of the year.)
As soon as the kids walk in the door, they’ll need a silly hat. These hats are made using a free template from Merriment Design. Just print them out using cardstock on your own printer. You can even let the kids embellish them.
The kids can color their own party hats using these free printables from TotSchooling. It’s a party prop that doubles as a party activity!
If the kids like to color, print out a couple dozen of these New year’s Coloring Pages from Blessed Beyond a Doubt. This site has lots of resources for kids (and parents;-)
Here’s a printable game that’s quick and easy: New Year’s I Spy. This colorful, downloadable game is available at The Pleasantest Thing.
Reasons to Skip the Housework has a New Year’s Eve Scavenger Hunt for Kids available for your party guests. There are even suggestions for rule variations based on the age of the kids.
Bekki from Domestic Mommyhood has a gift for you: a Happy New Year Word Search printable. She has lots of great printables on her blog that you should check out.
Plucky Momo offers a free printable New Year’s Eve Bingo Game that’s good for big and little kids alike. Emilie is so sweet to her tutorials and freebies with the world.
Jamielyn from I Heart Naptime has neat New Year Photo Prop printables. Kids love to dress up and act silly, especially in front of a camera. (I love the name of this blog “I Heart Naptime.” One of my toddlers once asked me, “Mommy, why do I have to take a nap when YOU’RE tired?”)
Jamie from Hands On As We Grow has a cool Year End Interview activity sheet for the kids. It’s a terrific way to get to know you child better. And it would make a great addition to the kid’s scrapbook-in-progress, too!
No New Year’s Eve party is complete without a few resolutions. Achieving Creative Order has a simple 5-question resolution questionnaire that kids will love. You could save those resolution sheets until next year’s New Year’s party and award prizes to the kids with the best completion rates.
Whether you’re hosting a dozen children from the neighborhood or just your own kids this New Year’s Eve, make the night special with some of these free printable games and activities. They’ll think that you went to all kinds of trouble preparing for the party, when, in truth, you just had to click your mouse a couple of times. If your New Year’s resolution this year is to make life simpler on yourself, you’ll be off to a great start.
