It’s that time of year that we start to dream of birds chirping and flowers blooming. With warmer weather just around the corner it’s time to begin planning your Spring parties! Here are 5 Spring Party Ideas to get your planning off to the right start!

Theme

Spring marks the beginning of gardening season for most people so what better theme than the garden? Check out our tips on hosting a garden party or our Garden Party Pinterest Board for inspiration. If the weather allows, hosting your party outdoors is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of winter! If it’s still chilly in your neck of the woods you can easily bring the garden theme indoors with your decor.

Decor

Shoo away the dreary days of winter by decorating your party with bright, vibrant colors. Warm colors especially help convey the feeling of the season so add plenty of yellows, oranges, and shades of red and pink to your decor and compliment with subtle greens to build on the gardening theme. Fresh flowers are a must, use them generously in your decor. If cost is a concern use more inexpensive flowers like carnations and baby’s breath to maximize your budget.

If you like a vintage look to your decor try adding some bright floral table linens to your table. For a more traditional look, a lemon yellow gingham is a bright and fun way to set the table. Let your table reflect the cheerfulness of the Springtime!

Menu

Serve seasonal fruits and vegetables on your menu and think lighter foods rather than the heavier comfort foods that got us through the winter. Asparagus and artichokes are two vegetables in season this time of year-a chilled asparagus pasta salad is easy to prepare ahead of time while hot artichoke dip is always a crowd favorite. Chicken salad would make an excellent main course while fruit salad is another easy to prepare side dish that is a popular with party guests! And to wash it all down how about pink lemonade or sweet sun tea?

Activities

If space allows set up a game of croquet for your guests. Or have a flower arranging table to allow guests to put together their own mason jar bouquets. Adding activities allows your guests to mingle in a relaxed environment.

Favors

Favors are an easy way to say “thank you” to your guests for attending and don’t have to break the bank. A seed packet in a pretty envelope, a bag of flower bulbs, or small bag of jelly beans are all inexpensive favors that reflect the joys of spring and are sure to delight your guests!

Spring is a wonderful time of year for getting together with friends and family and making the most of the warm days ahead. What are you most looking forward to this Spring?
