Checkered tablecloths – Not just for Italian restaurants or the 4th of July Holiday

Checkered tablecloths – Not just for Italian restaurants or the 4th of July Holiday. Not just red and white checkered linens any longer.
In Italy, they used the red and white checkered tablecloths as they are representative of the red and white wines. Lacryma Christi wines are made in white, red and rosé versions. Theories are that the red and white table cloths went perfect with the wines and roses that were also added as a decor in the center of the table too.
In the United States red and white checkered tablecloths became popular in Italian restaurants, country style settings and for picnics, especially on the 4th of July.
Today checkered tablecloths are very popular, available in many patterns and are used just as much by not only pizza and ice cream parlors but fine dinning and special settings.

Premier Table Linens offers the checkered tablecloths in red and white patterns as well as blue/white, moss/white, lemon/white, teal/white, burgundy/white and black and white checked linens.
